Faces of Service 2019

TSC's End of Year Appeal Kicks Off Today!

Today, we launch our End of Year Appeal at The Service Collaborative.

At The Service Collaborative we are game changers, creating dynamic support through service for over 75 nonprofit organizations in Buffalo and throughout Western New York. We use an innovative hands-on approach to address needs of individuals and organizations, leveraging strengths to build stronger communities and we cannot continue to do so without your help.

The Service Collaborative is recognized as a community leader with the capacity to identify and address community needs through volunteerism. TSC operates numerous programs involved in transformational service–and community impact–with a focus on four areas: Education, Economic Opportunity, Youth Development, and Volunteerism. Alumni of TSC service programs have advanced to successful careers in a variety of fields, including non-profit management, consulting, education, government, and the arts, with area employers citing TSC alumni as motivated, flexible, and outcome-oriented leaders with valuable skills and training.

When you choose to support The Service Collaborative during our End of Year Appeal you will allow TSC to continue the services that have great impact on the communities in which we serve.

Your gift will allow us to grow our already exciting impact:

  • Serve New York VISTA members provided support, services, and education to 4,704 individuals to alleviate long term hunger, with 3,562 reporting increased food security as a result;
  • Beds for Buffalo, with the support of 931 volunteers, has built 280 beds for children in need. These beds have been distributed to 15 non-profit partners across Western New York;
  • 106 at-risk youth were served through TSC youth programming, of which 96% increased more than two academic grade levels and 76% obtained placement in education or employment after exit;
  • 22 ABLE members are enrolled in ABLE Early Childhood, all participating in classes to obtain an industry-recognized credential in Childhood Development (CDA).
