Faces of Service: Youth & Workforce Development

Adrienne Gadley, TSC Youth 2019

Adrienne's Story

When I came to TSC, I didn’t have confidence in myself or motivation to be successful. My attitude was getting my way of reaching my goals. I didn’t have a high school diploma due to some bad decisions I had made in my life. Enrolling in the youth programs at TSC has changed me tremendously. It has changed my mindset and showed me that I am capable of doing anything I put my mind to.

Since I started at TSC, I have achieved my high school diploma and a multitude of certifications including OSHA 10, First Aid/CPR, a forklift certification, and my driver’s license. Some of these were goals that I never thought I would be able to achieve, and I have accomplished all of them in less than a year.

The staff at TSC treats you like their family and supports you through whatever barriers you are facing. I know they will continue to support me in whatever goals I will set to achieve next!

This year, 106 at-risk youth were served through TSC youth programming, of which 96% increased more than two academic grade levels and 76% obtained placement in education or employment after exit. These young people are growing into leaders every day, experiencing life-changing programming.
