The Volunteer Center at The Service Collaborative of WNY, Inc. in partnership with The United Way of Buffalo & Erie County are pleased to invite you to our Volunteer Coordinator Training Workshop. The purpose of this workshop is to introduce our partnering agencies to the new volunteer management database software, HandsOn Connect, as well as to educate you on the different programs and days of service you can become involved in to bring more volunteers into your agency.
HandsOn Connect will replace United Way’s current online volunteer opportunities website, Volunteer Solutions. HandsOn Connect is a user-friendly volunteer management platform that expands an agency's capability to manage, track and report on people, programs, trainings and volunteer opportunities in real time.
The Workshop will include:
· HandsOn Connect overview and basic training.
· An overview of United Way’s volunteer programs, inclusive of Day of Caring, Business Meets Community, Family Volunteer Day, Work’n’Play Days, et. al.. These are all wonderful programs to bring more volunteers through your doors!
· How to develop a successful day of service project at your agency.
· Volunteer Management Best Practices.
We strongly encourage your agency's participation to learn the functionality of HandsOn Connect, as well as all the ways you can bring more volunteers into your programs.
