AmeriCorps Builds Lives through Education (ABLE) ABLE members serve the community by providing social/emotional/behavioral skills support, as well as math tutoring, in grades 4-10. ABLE members can be found in the classrooms and after school programming of public, private, and charter schools throughout the city of Buffalo. All ABLE Members will be trained in two evidence based interventions (Positive Action and I CAN Learn) which will guide their work with students throughout their term of service. Be a part of an innovative education movement!  ABLE Corps members will be trained in an empirically tested, research based intervention, focused on character development.  Have a direct impact on the youth of Buffalo!
Serve New York VISTA Serve New York VISTA members commit one year of full-time service in non-profit organizations and schools across New York State. Members work closely with the administrative staff of these organizations, providing indirect service, and enhancing their organization’s ability to provide quality programming and support for their clients.

WNY YouthBuild YouthBuild is at capacity for it's 2017 program year however we are always accepting applications.  YouthBuild is an alternative education program that offers individuals ages 16-24 training and practical experience for “in-demand” industry careers through community revitalization projects, while also working to earn a High School Equivalency Diploma through the program.  Program benefits include: high school equivalency training, work readiness training, $345 bi-weekly program stipend, OSHA 10 certification, First Aid/CPR training, HBI Construction credential, AmeriCorps membership, internship opportunities.
