OPPORTUNITY CORPS (OC): Economic Self-Sufficiency
Who do members serve? OC members serve economically disadvantaged adults.
What do members do? OC members serve through on-on-one and small group financial literacy training sessions and volunteer recruitment.
When do they serve? OC members serve full-time (35-40 hours per week) for one year from October 1st– September 30th
Why do members serve? OC members are committed to fighting poverty and helping individuals achieve economic self-sufficiency through education and training. Our members are enthusiastic about providing direct service and having the opportunity to make a visible difference in their community.
Where do they serve? OC members serve in non-profit and educational institutions across Buffalo and Western New York.
How do members get involved? OC members come together once a month for professional development, community building and fun.
