Who do members serve?
ABLE members serve students in grades K-12.

What do members do? ABLE members serve through on-on-one and small group tutoring, out-of-school programming, and volunteer recruitment.

When do they serve? ABLE members serve full-time (35-40 hours per week) for one year from October 1st – September 31st or for 10 weeks in the spring and summer months.

Why do members serve? "I chose to serve because I realized that simply believing that everyone should be afforded similar opportunity could not protect anyone from the inequities I despised. It is only through direct action that I could challenge my assumptions and enact the changes I desire to see. It seems that everywhere I look there is evidence of inequality and suffering so commonplace, that people will often speak of injustices like stormy weather, like something beyond their control. People can overcome their circumstances, but they will need our help. All of us. This is why I serve, to be that helpful person." -Stu S. ABLE 2010-2011

Where do they serve? ABLE members serve in educational providers across Western New York.

How do members get involved? ABLE members come together once a month for professional development, community building and fun.
